THE BBC NEWS calls BEFORE STONEWALL “an extraordinary piece of filmmaking”. Watch the Friday night BBC prime time panel discussion on the 25 year anniversary of the release of the film: How Far Since Stonewall? A BBC panel discussion on “Before Stonewall”.
Before Stonewall screens at Lincoln Center August 31, 8 pm, Walter Reade Theater. Followed by a panel discussion with Greta Schiller, John Scagliotti, and Andrea Weiss; moderated by Richard Pena of the New York Film Festival.
The award-winning film BEFORE STONEWALL was invited to London, Zurich and Vienna this spring to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots of June 1969 as well as to mark the 25th anniversary of the release of the film that started the gay and lesbian film revolution. The filmmakers are available for special appearances to introduce the film.
